Rawn Martin

Rawn Martin is a licensed clinical social worker with experience treating children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families in private practice and in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Johns Hopkins Hospital. His primary expertise is in Mood/Affective Disorders and the treatment of depression, anxiety and Bipolar Disorder, as well as a broad range of behavioral and adjustment issues.

Rawn serves as adjunct faculty teaching family therapeutic techniques to Johns Hopkins University 3rd year Psychiatric Residents and has had extensive experience educating staff, faculty and colleagues in therapeutic modalities during his 17 years at Johns Hopkins, specializing in difficult-to-treat cases. He is currently a member of the Neuropsychiatry Program at Sheppard Pratt Health System in Towson, MD.

Using an eclectic approach, Rawn’s mission is to help clients and families reach realistic behavioral and developmental goals while navigating psychological and social challenges, as well as educating them about illness management.  He utilizes various techniques including DBT, CBT, existential therapy, and exposure therapy.

Rawn received his BFA at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD with a focus on painting. He continues to explore art as an effective and personal method of expression and communication.  He holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Howard University in Washington, D.C. and a Social Work Supervision Certificate. Rawn has been the recipient of numerous awards and has lectured extensively on issues relating to the care and treatment of psychiatric and behavioral conditions.
